New Amsterdam's Second Season Cut Short by One of its Own Storylines

    Following the frighteningly prescient storyline of last week's shelved episode, it's surreal to see how current events have conspired to make this week's episode of New Amsterdam its unplanned season finale. Though we'll have to wait to see what the show's take on a pandemic looks like, the hospital is still grappling with a snowballing medical mystery in the season closer. Also tonight: NCIS signs off for the season, Deadliest Catch returns, and the Avarez family welcomes a familiar new neighbor. Here's what's new and noteworthy on TV this Tuesday:

    SEASON FINALE: With production cut short by a real life medical emergency, New Amsterdam's season comes to a close with Dr. Goodwin (Ryan Eggold) treating a young patient with a rare condition. Meanwhile, Bloom (Janet Montgomery) and Sharpe (Freema Agyeman) investigate a mysterious condition affecting multiple patients. Watch the preview. 9:00 PM ET on NBC

    SEASON FINALE: Christopher Lloyd (Taxi, Back to the Future) guest stars in the season finale of NCIS. When Joe Smith (Lloyd) shares his wish to be buried at Pearl Harbor, the team searches for evidence to support his claim that he served aboard the USS Arizona. 8:00 PM ET on CBS

    SEASON PREMIERE: The long-running reality hit Deadliest Catch opens its sixteenth season with Russia jolting the international crab market. Meanwhile, Josh and Casey make a shocking discovery on the Cornelia Marie. 8:00 PM ET on Discovery Channel
