Patrick Stewart Returns to the Helm in Star Trek: Picard

    It's been eighteen years since Star Trek fans last saw Patrick Stewart in the role of Jean-Luc Picard, which makes today's debut of Star Trek: Picard a very big deal for CBS All Access. Also today: a Station 19 and Grey's Anatomy crossover, the penultimate episode of The Good Place, a host of series debuts and season finales, and a revealing interview with Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani. Here's what's new and noteworth on TV this Thursday:

    SERIES PREMIERE: Patrick Stewart  isn't the only familiar face returning to the Star Trek universe in today's premiere of Star Trek: Picard. Jeri Ryan's Seven of Nine (of Voyager fame) plays a key role, and we can look forward to appearances from several other returning favorites (apparently including a positively giddy Whoopi Goldberg at some point in the future). Watch the previewStreaming on CBS All Access

    SEASON PREMIERE: The third season of Station 19 opens with an episode that finds the team rescuing their own crewmates, as well as doctor's from Grey Sloan hospital from a deadly car crash in a crossover special with sister show Grey's Anatomy. 8:00 PM ET on ABC

    NEW EPISODE: The crossover event continues on Grey's Anatomy, where the medical team (minus one  races against the clock, battling fatigue and overwhelming emotions, as they work to save their colleagues and friends. 9:00 PM ET on ABC

    NEW EPISODE: The penultimate episode of The Good Place finds the group making new friends. 8:30 PM ET on NBC

    SERIES PREMIERE: Parenting is never a picnic, but Mike (Jason Biggs) and his wife Cay (Maggie Lawson) are more than Outmatched by their three genius-level children. Watch the preview. 8:30 PM ET on Fox

    SEASON FINALE: The season finale of Perfect Harmony gives Arthur (Bradley Whitford) the perfect opportunity to get revenge on his old rival Pastor Magnus (John Carroll Lynch). 9:30 PM ET on NBC

    SEASON PREMIERE: Freeform's The Bold Type returns for its fourth season with the staff of Scarlet struggling to adjust to the magazine's new normal. 9:00 PM ET on Freeform

    SERIES PREMIERE: In a twist on the typical family drama, October Faction follows the Allen clan, in which parents Fred (J. C. MacKenzie) and Deloris (Tamara Taylor) hunt down monsters, while their twin children Viv (Aurora Burghart) and Geoff (Gabriel Darku) have their own supernatural secrets. Streaming on Netflix

    AWARDS SPECIAL: Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani sit down for revealing interviews on The Gayle King Grammy Special, along with a host of other star guests. 10:00 PM ET on CBS
