This Is Us Begins a New "Trilogy" Following Last Week's Cliffhanger

    Fans were thrown for quite the scare in the final moments of last week's midseason preturn of This is Us, as Randall (Sterling K. Brown) came face to face with a knife-weilding intruder in his kitchen. This week picks up at that pivotal moment, setting off what showrunner Dan Fogelman calls the setup to the show's second big "trilogy." Also today:the penultimate episode of Arrow, the return of Legends of Tomorrow, a new Netflix comedy special, and a lesson on football fandom courtesy of The Conners. Here's what's new and noteworthy on TV this Tuesday: 

    NEW EPISODE: After expanding its universe earlier this season, This is Us closes ranks in the first in a new trilogy of episodes focused on each of the orignal Big Three. Tonight sees Randall (Sterling K. Brown) take center stage. 9:00 PM ET on NBC

    NEW EPISODE: With the series finale just one week away, Arrow takes viewers to Star City 2040, where Laurel (Katie Cassidy) and Dinah (Juliana Harkavy) resurface in Mia Queen's life. 8:00 PM ET on The CW

    SEASON PREMIERE: Enjoying their newfound fame, the team invites a film crew to document their latest investigation in Legends of Tomorrow. Meanwhile, an old nemesis has returned. 9:00 PM ET on The CW

    NEW EPISODE: Becky (Lecy Goranson) brings her new boyfriend to the house as The Conners sit down to watch the Green Bay Packers play the Chicago Bears. Tensions arise when Dan (John Goodman) realizes their guest is rooting against the family's beloved Bears. 8:00 PM ET on ABC

    COMEDY SPECIAL:  Actress and comedian Fortune Feimster (The Mindy Project) gets personal in her first hour-long comedy special, Fortune Feimster: Sweet & Salty. Watch the preview. Streaming on Netflix

    NEW EPISODE:  A series of "next level rage texts" prompt high drama on tonight's new Vanderpump Rules as Schwartz  is forced to pick sides between Stassi and Sandoval. 9:00 PM ET on Bravo
