This is one of the busiest days for premieres since the launches of Disney+ and Apple TV+ in the fall, with both platforms debuting timely new series. Apple's Little America is being praised as the streamer's very best show to date, while Diary of a Future President couldn't have asked for a better news cycle in which to debut, as the show's premise got quite a bit of unintentional coverage this week. Here's what's new and noteworthy on TV this Friday:

SERIES PREMIERE: From Lee Eisenberg (The Office) and Kumail Nanjiani & Emily Gordon (The Big Sick), Little America may be the show that puts Apple TV+ on the map. Critics have taken to the anthology series' moving tales of the American immigrant experience, and Apple has already renewed it for a second season. Watch the preview. Streaming on Apple TV+

SERIES PREMIERE: Can a woman be elected president of the United States? A lot of big names have been debating just that question this week, with Bernie Sanders feeling the heat for allegedly tellling Elizabeth Warren that he didn't think a woman could win the US presidency in a private meeting in 2018.  Diary of a Future President follows Elena (Tess Romero), a 12-year-old Cuban-American middle school student who intends to be president one day. The show's executive producer Gina Rodriguez (Jane the Virgin) plays Elena in flash-forward sequences in which she launches her campaign for the highest office in the land. Watch the preview. Streaming on Disney+

SEASON PREMIERE: After sending articles of impeachment to the Senate, Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi  sits down with Bill Maher for the start of Real Time With Bill Maher's eighteenth season. Other guests includes Andrew Yang, and panelists Joe Walsh, Kara Swisher, and Jon Meacham. 10:00 PM ET on HBO

SEASON PREMIERE: The second season of Netflix's well received and remarkably frank comedy Sex Education picks up where the show left off, namely with its main character Otis Milburn (Asa Butterfield) fumbling towards ecstasy, even as the show broadens its scope to introduce viewers to a wider cast of characters. Watch the preview. Streaming on Netflix

SEASON FINALE: Host Nick Lachey and judges Ciara, David Dobrik, and Debbie Gibson name the winning family on tonight's America’s Most Musical Family's season finale. 6:00 PM ET on Nick
