Peak TV has produced plenty of exceptional dramatic television, but breakout comedies have been less plentiful, which is one of the things that make Netflix's Medical Police so exciting. From the team that gave us Childrens Hospital, the spinoff series is a comedy thriller that sends doctors Owen Maestro and Lola Spratt around the world as they try to stop a mysterious virus and unravel a global conspiracy… one which appears to involve gun-toting mimes.

SERIES PREMIERE: Rob Huebel and Erinn Hayes reprise their Childrens Hospital characters in Medical Police, a spinoff of the beloved series that ran on Adult Swim for seven ridiculous seasons. Where Childrens took aim at classic medical drama tropes, its super-sized star-packed Netflix counterpart targets police procedurals past and present with deadpan one-liners and cringe-inducing prat falls. Watch the preview. Streaming on Netflix

SERIES PREMIERE: RuPaul makes the leap to Netflix (with a little help from his friends) in AJ and the Queen. The new series follows a drag queen (RuPaul) and a tough-talking young boy named AJ (Izzy G.) on an eventful cross country road trip. Watch the preview. Streaming on Netflix

SERIES PREMIERE: NBC appears to be on the prowl for another hit in the same vein as The Blacklist. Time will tell if Lincoln Rhyme: Hunt for the Bone Collector — a new series based on the books by Jeffrey Deaver (previously adapted as the 1999 film The Bone Collector) — will fit the bill. The series follows two cops who form an unlikely partnership in order to hunt down an infamous serial killer. Read our review. 8:00 PM ET on NBC

SEASON FINALE: Disney+'s High School Musical: The Musical: The Series has broken new ground in its first season. Today's season finale brings Act Two of opening night, and a last minute cast change that could change everything. Streaming on Disney+

SERIES PREMIERE: Netflix's latest global import Girl/Haji got stellar reviews when it debuted on BBC2 last fall. Set in London and Tokyo, the globe-trotting crime thriller stars Kelly Macdonald. Watch the preview. Streaming on Netflix

SERIES PREMIERE: Bill Burr is one of the biggest names in comedy, and he's looking to pay it forward. In his new Comedy Central series Bill Burr Presents: The Ringers the comedian introduces viewers to a new line-up of up-and-coming comedy performers. Watch the preview. 11:00 PM ET on Comedy Central
