    New Year's Eve TV may feel a bit stale for some, but there's something comforting in this era of sweeping change across the television landscape that some things haven't changed. Indeed, today's TV highlights look just about the same as they could have ten, twenty or thirty years ago. In primetime, we look back to the year that was, then it's on to Times Square and elsewhere for live (and taped) musical performances and coverage of the celebrations. And then there are the marathons — of everything from The Twilight Zone to Dr Pimple Popper. Here's your guide to what's new and notable on TV this New Year's Eve.:

    NEW YEARS EVE SPECIALS:

    All the Best, All the Worst 2019
    CNN, 7:00 PM ET

    Tom Foreman hosts CNN's annual look back at the highlight (and lowlights) of the past year in news, politics and pop culture.

    A Toast to 2019
    NBC, 8:00 PM ET

    Kristen Bell, Martin Short, Maya Rudolph and Tony Hale join hosts Hoda Kotb and Jenna Bush Hager as they break down the biggest pop culture moments and trends of the year in a two-hour primetime special.

    FOX's New Year's Eve with Steve Harvey
    FOX, 8:00 PM ET and 11:30 PM ET

    Maria Menounos and NFL Ex-Pat Rob Gronkowski join the error-prone Harvey for Fox's annual New Year's special, which will feature performances from The Village People, LL Cool J, DJ Z-Trip, The Chainsmokers, The Lumineers, Florida Georgia Line, Backstreet Boys, Tyga and The Killers.

    NBC's New Year's Eve
    NBC, 10:00 PM ET and 11:30 PM ET

    Carson Daly returns to host NBC's New Year's coverage alongside correspondents  Julianne Hough and Ellen's DJ, Stephen "tWitch" Boss. Live performers include X Ambassadors, Brett Eldredge, NE-YO, Leslie Odom Jr., Blake Shelton, The Struts, Gwen Stefani and Keith Urban.

    Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve With Ryan Seacrest
    ABC, 8:00 PM ET and 11:30 PM ET

    Always the big kahuna of the night, ABC is handing the entire night over to Ryan Seacrest and his co-hosts Lucy Hale, Billy Porter and Ciara. Live performances in Time Square include BTS, Post Malone, Sam Hunt, Alanis Morissette, and the cast of the Broadway musical Jagged Little Pill.      

    New Year’s Eve Live with Anderson Cooper and Andy Cohen
    CNN, 8:00 PM ET

    Anderson Cooper is joined by his best bud Andy Cohen for their annual New Year's Eve broadcast from Times Square.
