Netflix Dives into Holiday Romance With The Knight Before Christmas

Christmas may still be five weeks away, but if you've been watching Lifetime and Hallmark, you're already three weeks deep in holiday-themed romantic comedies. Netflix joins the fray today with its latest latest entry into the ever-growing canon of mistletoe-themed TV movies. Here's what's new and noteworthy on TV this Thursday:

MOVIE PREMIERE: Clearly a movie title that had to made, The Knight Before Christmas stars Vanessa Hudgens as a heartbroken school teacher who finds love with a time-traveling medieval knight (played by Poldark's Josh Whitehouse). Watch the preview. Streaming on Netflix

NEW EPISODE: Halfway through its first season, the CBS supernatural drama Evil is officially binge-worthy. So says Primetimer's Eve Batey in a new article today. In tonight's episode, the team journeys to a commune to investigate an image David (Mike Colter) recognizes from a piece of his father's art. 10:00 PM ET on CBS

SERIES PREMIERE: The psychological drama Cheat made a minor splash when it debuted on Britain's ITV last spring. Making its stateside debut, the four-part series stars Katherine Kelly as a university professor who confronts a student (Molly Windsor) over an essay she believes is of suspiciously high quality.
