Has The CW Finally Cracked the Case of Nancy Drew?

Nancy Drew has traveled a bumpy path to its premiere tonight on The CW, with two attempts at reworking the classic mystery book series failing to make it to air in recent years. As our resident pilots expert Jean-Maxime Renault wrote in his review of the pilot script last spring, this version looks like a good fit for The CW, and its producers Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage (The O.C., Gossip Girl) certainly know a thing or two about teen drama.
 
SERIES PREMIERE: The series premiere of Nancy Drew sees the tables turned on everyone's favorite sleuth, as Nancy (Kennedy McMann) is named the prime suspect in a society murder until her own investigation unearths clues connecting the case to another unsolved killing from years earlier.
