Netflix's Another Life Sends Katee Sackhoff Back Into Space

Battlestar Gallactica alum Katee Sackhoff returns to space tonight, this time as an astronaut in Another Life. The new Netflix series is a break from the more heady sci-fi we've grown accustomed to in the Peak TV era; instead it's a fun, adventure-filled romp that's being described as "just this side of silly." 

SERIES PREMIERE:  Set in the not-so distant future, Another Life follows the adventures of astronaut Niko Breckinridge (Katee Sackhoff) as she leads her crew on a dangerous mission to explore the origins of an alien space ship after it crashes into earth. Streaming on Netflix

SEASON PREMIERE: Canadian mommy comedy Workin' Moms returns to Netflix for its second season today, its first season having been greeted with a lot of hand-wringing over whether the privilege of the show's characters negates the worth of its observations about motherhood. In a recent review, our own Aaron Barnhart praised series creator and star Catherine Reitman (daughter of Ivan Reitman) for the series' fresh, sardonic voice rarely heard on male-driven sitcoms. Streaming on Netflix

NEW EPISODE: The third and final installment of The Real Housewives of NYC reunion episodes is summed up in the episode preview as "the women finish raking LuAnn over the coals about her sobriety," and if that were really true, the whole show would grind to a halt. In order to spread the wealth, Barbrara is brought on to be subject to more mockery, and Sonja's drinking also comes under scrutiny. 9:00 PM ET on Bravo

NEW EPISODE: As if to hammer home the concept that the Jersey Shore cast are our new Scooby-Doo gang, this week they head off to a dude ranch for a weekend getaway. But tonight's Jersey Shore: Family Vacation is determined to go down in the history books for one thing only: The Situation's bachelor party. 10:00 PM ET on MTV
