The Time Digital Underground Appeared on an Episode of Drexell's Class

Shock G (aka Gregory Davis), the brilliant Digital Underground hip hop artist with the infamous alter ego of Humpty Hump, has passed away at the age of 57.

In this clip from a 1992 episode of Fox's short-lived Dabney Coleman sitcom Drexell's Class, Shock G appeared to Coleman's Otis Drexell in a dream in the guise of Humpty Hump, along with DU's Tupac Shakur before he hit it big as a solo artist. Drexell dreamed he was on a cruise ship with his students, one of whom was a big DU fan, complete with his own set of Groucho Marx glasses, which Humpty signed for him, before the band performed their anti-cosmetic surgery song "No Nose Job."

When Drexell woke up from his dream, it turned out Shock G was actually one of his furnace repairmen (alongside Jason Priestley for some reason), and he claimed to hav never heard of Humpty.
