TPUSA organized an event at UC Berkeley on Monday, October 10, 2025. The event, however, turned chaotic when protestors gathered outside Zellerbach Hall. Many took to X and condemned the incident. Turning Point USA Chief of Staff Mikey McCoy tweeted about it and even accused the protestors of being Antifa.

Meanwhile, The Charlie Kirk Show executive producer Andrew Kolvet, too, had something to say about the chaotic situation that happened on Monday. On Tuesday, Jesse Watters shared a portion of a conversation that he seemingly had with Kolvet. During the conversation, Kolvet said that the incident was a "coordinated attack on a peaceful event."

Like McCoy, Kolvet too believed that the protestors were "Antifa" as well as "Jihad." Andrew Kolvet could be heard saying,

"I will tell you two weeks before the event, we had to switch to the university's ticketing system. And so what happens when you do that is it opens it up for far-left agitators... to grab those tickets. And so what we had happen is that there was about 500 tickets of people that didn't show up."

According to Kolvet, several people who wanted to attend the event did not get tickets or were scared away. He claimed that the agitators just wanted to portray that there was no movement post Charlie Kirk's assassination.

As of now, the tweet posted by Watters garnered massive attention on the social media platform. More than 100K netizens viewed the clip, and over 6.6K liked it. At the same time, many even shared their opinions under the tweet.

Several arrests took place at UC Berkeley at the time of the TPUSA event on Monday after a brawl broke out

As previously mentioned, several left protestors gathered at the scene and chanted slogans like "Fascists out of Berkeley." According to The Guardian, many carried Palestinian flags as well as signs with slogans such as "We won the war; why are there still Nazis?" and "No safe space for fascist scum."

The chaos prompted law enforcement officials to guard an entrance to the building and ensure smooth entry for attendees. The Daily Californian reported that at least three people were taken into custody amid the chaos during the event that featured Dr. Frank Turek and Rob Schneider. A spokesperson for the Berkeley Police Department told FOX News Digital,

"I do not have the specific details of what the arrests were for. At this point, I can share that one of the parties was arrested for battery."

A freshman from the institute told media about what she witnessed at the venue. According to her, the ambiance was filled with tension when she stopped by the protest after class. The student further claimed that the unrest situation had then become the "talk of the town." About two hours since the event started, the agitators began chanting "f*ck Charlie Kirk."

Another third-year student, Tyara Gomez, said that the demonstrations seemed quite normal for an institute like UC Berkeley. Gomez, however, added that this time more police officers were present at the event.

The TPUSA event at UC Berkeley happened exactly two months after Charlie Kirk was assassinated at Utah Valley University during a similar event.
