The five-episode young adult supernatural drama about magical genies in the ancient city of Petra has sparked controversy over lead actress Salma Milhis kissing two different boys in separate scenes, which is considered shocking in the conservative country. Others have complained over its rough language. Jordan’s Media Commission responded to the outrage, noting that it only can censor TV broadcasts and theater presentations -- not streaming series.
