Horror director David Cronenberg to star in Shudder's Slasher

The streaming service has ordered an eight-episode fourth season of the horror anthology series, titled Slasher: Flesh & Blood. It follows a "wealthy but dysfunctional family gathering for a reunion on a secluded island," per Deadline. "Their old wounds and competitive rivalries flare up when the family realizes a masked killer is on the island, intent on cruelly picking them off one by one." This won't be the first acting gig for Cronenberg, known for films like Scanners and Videodrome.
