“Peter Lenkov, who runs Hawaii Five-0, used to be one of our top writers and producers over at CSI:NY,” Sinise tells People of the casting of Jason Redman, who makes his debut on tonight’s episode. “He contacted me saying he was looking for a veteran for a part.” Redman, who has some previous acting experience, wrote a letter thanking Sinise for the casting: “I said, ‘Kudos to you for everything you’ve done in your career because that was a lot harder and more challenging than I ever would have imagined.”
