Raul Malo accumulated a lot of wealth from his career: Music projects and more explained
The Miami, Florida, native built a huge fan base with his work in the music industry. While he was known for being associated with The Mavericks, the songwriter also released some solo albums.
Celebrity Net Worth stated that Raul Malo’s lyrics usually featured themes like heartbreak. He continued playing with the band until last year. Meanwhile, the present members include drummer Paul Deakin alongside guitarist Eddie Perez and Jerry Dale McFadden. The latter two are even contributing as vocalists.
Malo developed an interest in music during his high school days as he had begun playing bass guitar. After playing with some groups, he released a single titled Paperheart. However, he failed to get recognition due to the failure of the album in which the song was included, as stated in his biography on All Music.
This was also the time when the journey of The Mavericks started. Raul Malo developed a friendship with former member Robert Reynolds, leading to the group’s formation. They were later joined by Paul Deakin.
The group’s self-titled debut album brought them into the limelight. They began collaborating with the record label MCA Nashville for the next few projects. Starting from their third album, What a Crying Shame, the band started taking a spot on the charts. A similar response was received by other albums like Music for All Occasions and Trampoline.
According to All Music, Raul also performed his successful singles in a solo tour. He slowly started producing the works of other artists and worked with another band, Los Super Seven.
As a solo artist, Malo collaborated with different companies to release his albums. His credits included titles such as Today, You’re Only Lonely, After Hours, Marshmallow World & Other Holiday Favorites, Lucky One, Sinners and Saints, Around the World Live, Quarantunes, and Say Less.
