The American horror film Keeper will release in the US on November 14, 2025, under Neon. With its release approaching, horror fans are eager to see what promises to be a terrifying film. This surrealist thriller by Nick Lepard and directed by Osgood Perkins seemingly portrays the journey into the unknown. Tatiana Maslany and Rossif Sutherland, known for their powerful roles, star in the film.

Maslany spoke to Polygon in an interview on October 16, 2025, that Keeper's filming was more like a quick shoot in Canada within a comparatively lower budget.

    He stated,
“Oz likes the oddness of those performers and really imbues his sets with the freedom to go there as well."

The film follows Liz and Malcolm's romantic anniversary weekend at a remote cabin. Liz is alone when Malcolm returns to the city unexpectedly. In her solitude, she meets an evil entity that reveals the cabin's horrifying secrets. Reportedly, this film has some blood and violence, crude language, and s*xual references, so it is rated "R."

The official synopsis of the movie states,

Malcolm and Liz take a romantic anniversary trip to a remote cabin. When Malcolm unexpectedly leaves for the city, Liz finds herself alone and confronted by a sinister presence.

Keeper: Exploring its Release date, plot, cast and more

On November 14, 2025, Keeper will bring its spine-tingling atmosphere to US theaters. Neon, known for genre-defining films, will release the film. Horror fans eagerly await its theatrical release.

Keeper has a haunting atmosphere and psychological insight. After Malcolm leaves, Tatiana Maslany's Liz encounters an alien in a cabin. The film suspensefully reveals the cabin's dark secrets. Liz faces a deeper threat than physical threats. Uncertainty, eerie moments, and disturbing imagery will build until the film's horrifying climax.

Who is leading the cast of Keeper

Tatiana Maslany plays the lead role of Liz in Keeper. Maslany, critically acclaimed for her role in "Orphan Black," is portrayed as a woman stuck in a nightmare she can't escape. Rossif Sutherland, who plays Malcolm, plays her partner. Rossif's sudden return leaves Liz open to the evil forces at work. Since the two actors get along so well, the psychological horror will probably have more depth, which will raise the emotional stakes of the story.

Osgood Perkins' Keeper: Trailer Breakdown and what to expect

The Keeper trailer is a terrifying preview. Fear creeps in to set the mood for psychological horror. Liz is alone in the cabin in the short but scary scenes. Unsettling visuals and eerie dialogue heighten fear and mistrust. A haunting trailer exchange asks,

"Can I trust this man? Can I trust this woman?"

Paranoia builds as the trailer plays. The seductive and menacing "There’s something special about you" suggests Liz is being watched by supernatural forces. The images quickly go from peaceful to horrifying, making one uneasy. After a montage of "beautiful women" and "bloody, screaming faces," the trailer looks unexpectedly scary. Liz will be terrified when the evil entity appears, and tension builds.

The trailer's ending builds tension as Liz's desperate escape becomes clear. "I want to go," repeated several times, conveys the horror of being trapped with no escape. Liz's daily struggle to survive an unexplained evil drives Keeper's emotion.

Keeper will be available in theatres from November 14, 2025.
