After the success of April’s remote-shot Parks & Rec reunion, it was a foregone conclusion that NBC would look to repeat it with other shows, but they’ve managed to pull off a real doozy with tonight’s 30 Rock reunion special. As Primetimer’s Joe Reid writes, the set-up of tonight’s special — “a celebration of the stories and talent from NBCUniversal’s 2020-21 television season” — conjures up memories of the often absurd but always star-studded Fall Network Preview specials of old, but we’ll take any excuse to see Liz Lemon reunited with Jack Donagy and the rest of the 30 Rock cast. Also today: The CW unveils a new reality show whodunnit, Netflix tries its hand at Indian Matchmaking, and Pirate Jon Lovitz returns in all-new Holey Holey.
