Showtime orders comedy Work in Progress from Lilly Wachowski

After her experience with Netflix's Sense8, Wachowski is returning to TV to co-write and executive produce a “uniquely human” comedy about a "45-year-old self-identified “fat, queer” woman from Chicago whose misfortune and despair unexpectedly lead her to a vibrantly transformative relationship." Comedian Abby McEnany will play the lead role on Work in Progress, which she co-created with Tim Mason. Work in Progress will also feature SNL alum Julia Sweeney playing herself.
