Renée Elise Goldsberry to star in Tina Fey's Girls5eva with Sara Bareilles

The Tony-winning Hamilton alum will play a member of a 1990s one-hit-wonder girl group who reunites in the 2020s in the Peacock comedy that Fey is producing. Goldsberry will play Wickie, the big-voiced lead vocalist of the group. “Wickie’s solo career hit a ditch, but she’s determined to use this new opportunity to retake her rightful place as pop royalty,” according to the official description.
