Premiering June 15, Revolution Rent focuses on the first American company to stage a Broadway musical in Cuba in more than half a century. The announcement coincides with the anniversary of Jonathan Larson's Rent, which made its Broadway debut 25 years ago today. Harris was one of Rent's original cast members. “Traveling to Cuba to make this film was incredibly challenging yet rewarding in ways I never imagined," said Andy Señor Jr., who directs the Brazilian production of Rent. "Revolution Rent is about creativity in the face of adversity and the healing powers of human connection.” Harris adds: “Andy and I started our Rent journey together many years ago and I was proud to see him take his talents to Cuba. Revolution Rent is a continuation of our journey as well as a tribute to the power of theater and its ability to transform lives."
